Even without a front row to sit on, the stars are proving they can still manage to make a style moment happen this fashion month. First, we saw Blackpink’s Rosé settle down to watch the Saint Laurent show in surfer-style florals. Now, Red Velvet’s Irene has gotten all dressed up to take in the livestream of Prada’s spring/summer 2021 show.
Ahead of the digital-first presentation, the 29-year-old actor and idol posted a photograph of herself in a Prada store wearing a top-to-toe look from the house. Irene posed on a staircase, invite in hand, and encouraged her fans to join her in watching the broadcast. She also acknowledged the significance of the spring/summer 2021 show, the first collection devised by Prada’s now co-creative directors, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons.
Writing in Korean, Irene’s caption included further details of her sustainably-minded outfit choice. Her look came courtesy of Prada’s Re-Nylon collection, which offers a greener take on the durable technical fabric that has been synonymous with the house since the ’90s. Irene wore the single-breasted Re-Nylon gabardine jacket with the matching mini-skirt, and a pair of Prada’s viral Monolith combat-style boots with ankle pouches intact.
